I told you it would be a busy month. I have the Serb Hall Doll and Bear show on the 12th in Milwaukee, WI, the University Arts Festival show on the 18th in West Bend, WI and the Schaumburg Teddy Bear show on April 19th in Schaumburg, IL
After that, April 24th is the online Pet Palooza show and then on Apr 29th I leave for Philadelphia for the Quinlan Artist Doll & Teddy Bear Convention and THEN - the Spring Stars Online show in May. Crazy man, crazy.

a special project

I just finished a special order bear for a lady whose husband had passed. She sent me his favorite raincoat and asked me to make a bear out of it. I used the buttons down the front, part of the collar and the cuff tabs and here is how he turned out. I hope she loves him.

baking bears

Well, my poor husband comes home today and walks into the kitchen saying "mmmmmm, something smells great.  What are you baking?"
He should know better by now.
He pulled the oven open and found
3 antiqued, distressed, dipped bears baking in the oven to give them that "dirty" look.  My Prim recipe is coffee, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon - so it smells great.

stuff to sell and stuff to keep

I am going through everything I own to sort out stuff to keep and stuff to sell.  WHAT A MESS!!!

Life is kind of overwhelming at the moment and I find that a good purge helps clear my head.  I hope that it will be cold and cloudy so that I don't want to go outside and play instead. 

I will be posting things on etsy, but will have pics here before I do to give you a feel for what I have to get rid of.


I have also committed to do a talk at the Kansas City Jubilee bear show in Sept - the topic: "What are you going to do with that?"

So I may be keeping more than I originally hoped just for that talk.
