broccoli in parmesan cheese sauce
I made this for Thanksgiving
2 pounds of broccoli (steam it in the microwave until just tender - set aside)
1 small onion (minced) I don't use the onion - onion and I don't get along
6 tblsp butter -- 4 tblsp flour -- 2 Cups milk -- 1/2 tsp salt - pepper to taste -- 1 Cup parmesan cheese -- 1/2 C bread crumbs.
cook the onion in 4 tbsp of the butter until tender - stir in the flour -- add the milk gradually and cook until thickened stirring constantly. Add the salt, pepper and parmesan -- stir until cheese melts. Pour 1/2 of the sauce into a greased or cooking sprayed baking dish. arrange the broccoli - pour the rest of the sauce over the top, dot with the remaining butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 min

local show
I participated in a local holiday craft show today. It was fun. I usually do table top shows, so this was more of a challange to set up, but it worked OK

fun in Ann Arbor
Well, we had fun in Ann Arbor - Amy Thornton, Dian Pete, Donna Manthey and I drove, antiqued a little, got some sleep - did the show and drove home. We each found some little thing to buy and saw lots of wonderful people at the show.
