- I am a teddy bear artist by profession. I also play rhythm guitar with a local bluegrass band on weekends that I am not off to teddy bear shows. I have a very funny papillon named PJ. He is 10 years old and he keeps me mobile by making me take him walking every day. I love antiquing and use many of my finds for my teddy bears. my poor pup
Toby is my 8 year old Papillon. He injured his back last night and can't walk -- emergency vet seems to think that meds and cage rest will help him out. I really hope so.
He did this once before with major surgery required for him to walk again.

wet workspaces
Well, once more, my workspace got WET with the rains. Gutters need to be cleaned several times a year and when we don't do it -- my space gets wet in heavy rain. So, I am cleaning - again - and using fans to dry the space -- sigh. If I can talk myself in to taking a pic of this, I'll put one up.

The theme for the show was "Treasues of the world" and pirate attire was encouraged. We had a blast. Here are pics of Bev White and I in Pirate dress. Also Armella Dana with her husband Roger. Roger chose to remain a civilian.

On Thursday, we headed off to Binghamton, NY - good weather, no more 2 x 4's. We stopped at this rest stop, can you believe that this is a rest stop??
Home from TBAI
Well, I am home from an adventuresome show. Dian, Donna and I packed the car to the gills and headed out on Wed. We were doing fine -- great through Chicago, and then we hit a snag in Indiana. There was a spill of 2 x 4's of all things, and we hit one. Flattened the tire and bent the rim. Thanks to AAA, we got the spare on and could head out to a dealership to get a new tire and rim. Only 4 hours later than we planned to get to Cleveland. Here are pics of the car we loaded up.

trunk show thoughts
I am planning to hold the trunk show out of my home on Oct 14 and 15 and online on Oct 16th. The home part of the show is by invitation only, so I will be emailing and snail mailing invites on Sept 1 - so if you are in the Northern Il or Southern Wi area and would like to attend, please let me know.
