trunk show update

Here are some examples of Susan McCay's work -- Her things are so small and wonderful! The clock case had 3 tiny bears and all of the wonderful antique accessories. She also makes elephants, giraffs, birds and more. The little flowered bear is made from antique fabric and is about 2 1/2" tall.

I had just a tiny scrap of the longer green mohair, but found a coordinating piece of green/orange tip for the arms, ears and legs. 6" tall and pretty cute!

some inspiring finds

Hey, We went antiquing and goodwilling yesterday - I found some great stuff, pretty cheap. Can't wait to use the hats and the little silk baby dress. (that is going to be dyed for a spooky dress). Don't find this kind of stuff reasonably anymore. Look a the silver loops for my funky jewelry!

I am having so much fun working on steampunk style jewelry as well as the lockets like the one pictured here. A few of the necklaces are on etsy right now.

Guess I should sleep so that I can sew and work on jewelry tomorrow.

Hi all - it is bleeping hot here today, so I am working indoors. I just added a few blog links at the bottom of this page. Do you think that I will ever figure this out????

My poor dogs are just beside themselves. They forget that it is too hot to take walks, so the pester and pester at "walk time". We get outside and they look at me as if to say -- "Are you CRAZY? We are going back in"

trunk show news

Here is how I intend this show to work. I am going to have artists send me their pieces and I will display them in my home. Invitations will go out to our mailing lists of anyone within driving distance. I will also hold a one day online web version of the trunk show so that those not able to attend can not only see the show, but purchase items also. So far, I have a variety of items coming including jewelry, floral, teddy bears, dolls, Halloween accessories, needle felted work.
I am really excited about this.

Well, I have decided to hold a Halloween/Autumn trunk show out of my home and online in October. I have 16 different artists participating right now and will be putting pictures of their work up here from time to time. There is a full list on my website with links back to their work as well. check it and let me know what you think.
